Leverstock Green Chronicles

A seasonal look!

The Village

Leverstock Green’s history can be traced back hundreds of years although the village is now linked to Hemel Hempstead New Town.  This resulted in the newer housing which has sprung up since the 1950’s. The consequent increase in population led to the building of schools, the Village Hall and enlargement of the Green, all of which we enjoy today.

The Village Hall

2008 sees the completion of major modifications to the hall. There are now two large meeting rooms as well as the main hall. The resident playgroup uses one of these rooms during the day and will shortly have a new play area to the rear of the building.

A packed programme of events uses the various rooms but if you would like to book one of them for your event, please contact the office to discuss your requirements. Alternatively  telephone 01442 268723.

The LGVA Chair, Barbara Chapman, has compiled a comprehensive document about the history of the Hall and the Association. To see more click here.
